Mindfulness and Mindful Self Compassion Professional Training Credentials
Dr. Sogge holds a Ph.D. as a psychologist, with an extensive background in Behavioral Medicine; she is a Certified Mindfulness Teacher – Professional Level with the International Mindfulness Teachers’ Association (IMTA), is approved by the Center for Mindful Self Compassion as a Certified Mindful Self Compassion Teacher, and is registered with the University of Massachusetts Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Healthcare, and Society as a mindfulness based stress reduction teacher (grandfathered). She is a registered yoga teacher (200 hr RYT) and a member of the Class of 2016 Mindfulness Yoga and Meditation Teacher specialized training program with the Spirit Rock Meditation Center in California. She has trained with Spirit Rock Senior Teacher Mark Coleman for two years as an Awake in the Wild Mindfulness in Nature facilitator, and facilitates retreats and trainings on mindfulness in natural environments.
In her private practice of psychology, Dr Sogge offers Compassion Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Integrated Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindful Self Compassion training, and other “third wave” mindfulness based treatments such as ACT and MBCT for trauma, depression, anxiety and interpersonal problems.
