Autumn 2018 Mindfulness Integrated CBT for Wellbeing and Growth

Mindfulness Integrated Cognitive Behavior Therapy (MiCBT) for Wellbeing and Growth was developed by Dr. Bruno Cayoun of the MiCBT Institute in Australia http://www.mindfulness.net.au/.

The Autumn 2018 Mindfulness Integrated Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Group – with Dr. Kimberly Sogge, CPsych Registered Psychologist (M.Ed. McGill, Ph.D. Texas A&M University) uses evidence based methods to assist participants to:

  • Develop focus and equanimity
  • Challenge fears and avoidant behaviors
  • Reduce reactivity and emotional suffering
  • Increase body awareness
  • Develop assertiveness
  • Increase empathy
  • Cultivate lovingkindness for yourself and others
  • Develop self respect based on personal ethics
  • Re-commit to a life of vitality.

MiCBT integrates the development of systematic mindfulness practice from the vipassana tradition with the best practices of cognitive behavioral therapy developed in Western medicine. This 8 week course provides professional, caring guidance in developing the skill sets for overcoming stuck patterns in your life.

The  MiCBT course will take place as follows: weekly sessions at in the Wild Blue Mindfulness studio at Ottawa River Psychology Group 44 Hawthorne Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario

The  MiCBT course will take place as follows: 2.0 hour weekly sessions at Ottawa River Psychology Group (former Sogge & Associates) on 44 Hawthorne Avenue near Pretoria Bridge in Ottawa

The time of the course will be 3:00pm to 5:00pm on Thursdays September 13, 20, (no class Sept 27), October 4, 11, 18, 25, (No class November 1), November 8, 15.
