Do you worry about looking foolish or being noticed in social ? Avoid talking to people or doing the things you want todo because of fear and self-doubt? Struggle to meet new people or reach your full potential at school or work because of the uncomfortable thoughts and feelings that get in the way?
This group will give you a new perspective on shyness and social anxiety by helping you open up to difficult thoughts and feelings while doing what really matters to you. Developed by Dr. Jan Fleming and Dr. Nancy Kocovski, researchers and authors of The Mindfulness & Acceptance Workbook for Social Anxiety & Shyness, this evidence-based program combines Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with treatment components drawn from Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
